Development & Pilot Plants
With the development of the HP System, a hydraulic fruit press with inner drainage elements, Bucher has revolutionized the press technology in the sphere of fruit juice production. No other system in the fruit juice industry for processing of core and stone fruits and berries has found such an approval. Today, in most of the companies, which are processing fruits to juice in an industrial way, Bucher presses are installed.

Since the introduction of the HP System in 1965 things have moved. Today an experienced team of development specialists out of different technological fields is available. Oenologists, process engineers, chemists and mechanical engineers are working today to develop new products, always considering the requirements of our customers.

Up to now Bucher Processtech AG has applied for over 1700 letters of patent. Foodtech has contributed to a great extent. This is a result of the strong force of innovation of our company.

In our Laboratory in Niederweningen we are able to perform different process engineering trials i. e. for new applications of our products. From desintegration, pressing, filtration up to concentration, everything is possible. Further on the department drying technology has an own laboratory, where drying tests can be carried out.

For special tests on site for customers or interested companies there are also pilot plants available to allow scaling-up.
